Hay Field Blend Case Study

Central Missouri sheep and cattle farmer plants rotational grazing mixture

Background

Central Missouri cattle farm focused on regenerative practices. Plants fields with a rotation of 3-4 different types of seeds for free range grazing of his sheep and cows.

Applied Elm Dirt Products in 15 ft strips for direct comparison with unfertilized areas

Results

Elm Dirt sections grew 4-6 inches taller than other sections and were preferentially grazed first by the sheep and cows.

Given 2 weeks to grow back before regrazing, the Elm Dirt section grew back twice as fast as the unfertilized strips yielding more than 2 times as much food for the animals.
